Regular Activities
Sunday Services
Our weekly services happen every Sunday at Parkview from 11:00am, with refreshments being served from 10:30. Our services contain biblical teachings and songs of worship to help us learn more about our God, and how we can connect with him in our daily lives.
This service is for anyone who wants to join in and learn more about Jesus. We also run a Junior Church for the kids at the same time, so kids can learn more about God on a level that they’ll understand. Feel free to join us on Sundays, we’d love to see you there.
Coffee on the Corner
Every second Tuesday, from 9am through to 12 noon, we open our doors for a coffee shop. We provide cheese scones and sausage rolls (very popular), a selection of cakes (also popular, but possibly a few more calories!), together with tea, coffee and other refreshments.
There is no charge for the refreshments, but if our visitors do choose to make a donation, this is given to a charity. We try to ensure that the charity each month has a special significance. If anyone has a particular charity that is close to their heart, we will always endeavour to lend our support if we are able. We also have a bric-a-brac table, a selection of greeting cards, and a creche available for the use of any younger visitors. Do come along and join us.
Life Groups
We have 3 different small groups that meet each week to discuss the teaching given on a Sunday morning and various other topics throughout the year. Our 3 groups meet on Tuesdays at 7:30pm, Wednesday mornings at 10:00am and Wednesday evening at 7:30pm. Currently they meet in the church building, but pre-covid would be held in someone’s home.
These are an informal way of studying the Bible together, discussing issues of faith and supporting one another through life. During these times we deepen our faith and our friendships with one another. If you would like to join one of our Life Groups, please get in contact with one of our leaders.
Friday Clubs
Here at Parkview, we do lots of work with young people, and a big part of that is Friday Clubs. We have a Junior Club which is for Reception to Year 6 kids, and his takes place from 6:00pm to 7:00pm on Fridays during term time. At Junior Club we run lots of fun activities which include games, arts & crafts, interactive bible stories and more!
We also run Senior Club from 7:30 to 9:30 on Friday nights, during term time. This is for young people between Years 6 to 11. Here we have an evening full of fun, where they can play football, table tennis, meet up with their friends and eat lots of sweets.
Prayer Meeting
Prayer is a valuable part of church life and is a practise to be encouraged in every Christian. As well as engaging in prayer during services and Life Group we specifically meet once a month to pray for the needs of our church family, the local community, our nation, and current international issues. Talking and listening to God is a vital part of any church community and we encourage all our church family to join us for this special time.
These meetings happen on the first Thursday of each month at 7:30pm in the church building. Please feel free to come along, we would love you to pray with us.
